Our commitments: quality, responsibility and the long term
The demand for quality
Our strength lies in our in-depth expertise and constant attention to production standards and quality control procedures.
Historically rooted in leather, our strategy is based on technical know-how and a constant search for performance in our products.
Our ambition? Sublimate leathers by adding beauty, density, suppleness and naturalness.
We have a performance requirement:
- Towards tanners, who are looking for solutions that comply with the latest regulations for ennobling hides,
- To consumers, who expect products to be aesthetically pleasing, environmentally friendly and long-lasting,
- To ourselves, because our future depends on our ability to constantly innovate, adapt and develop new solutions.
Quality control from from raw material to finished leather.
Our global expertise in the leather industry enables us to control the quality of the raw materials we use, the production processes we implement, the products we manufacture and the supply chain.
But more importantly, the formulas we develop for our customers and the technical support we provide enable us to control the quality of the leathers made with ATC products. And that's what it's all about.
For all these reasons, ATC has been ISO 9001 certified since 1998.
A responsible company
Responsibility towards Society and the Environment (CSR) has become an essential dimension in ATC's growth strategy. This commitment materialized in July 2020 with the signing of the RESPONSIBLE CARE global charter and the creation of a CSR policy
As an independent, family-owned company, ATC is built on a foundation of strong values, deeply rooted in our DNA. We are proud to build ATC's future every day as a socially responsible company, respecting fundamental ethical principles:
ZDHC compliance
Committed to its business partners for many years, ATC has banned the use in its products of all substances listed in its customers' Restricted Substances Lists (RSL ).
We also assure our customers that ATC France products comply with the "Manufacturers Restricted Substances List" (MRSL), drawn up by ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals ), a group of powerful international brands.
We have successfully achieved ZDHC MRSL level 3 compliance through Eurofins | BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd (CHEM-Map certification protocol).
Our range includes :
140 ZDHC level 3 certified products
which you can find on the ZDHC Gateway platform
Health & Safety
The health and safety of our employees and users is a priority for ATC.
In France, as in all the countries where we operate, we pay particular attention to the working conditions of our employees:
- By complying with national regulations on working conditions
- By regularly analyzing the internal risks associated with our processes
- By regularly checking the conformity of our installations, equipment and work tools
- By developing strict safety procedures
- By training our teams in the production tools they use on a daily basis
- By regularly educating both our teams and our customers about the safe handling of chemical products
- Continuous investment inimproving working conditions (working environment and tools, ergonomics, comfort at the workstation, etc.).
- By our willingness to take into account everyone's constraints and sensitivities
We work hard every day to develop a culture of risk prevention, thanks to a Safety Committee that meets every 3 months, an effective system for monitoring and resolving safety-related issues, and above all, by encouraging all our employees to be vigilant about their own safety and that of others. For example, at ATC, every employee can take an SST (Sauveteur Secouriste du Travail) course if they wish. As a result, 30% of our workforce is now trained and able to help others.
Compliance with international standards
As a European producer of specialty chemicals, our duty is to guarantee our customers that our products comply with regulatory requirements.
All ATC France products comply with European regulation (EC) n°1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). This regulation was adopted to better protect the health of users and the environment against the risks associated with chemical substances.
All ATC France bactericides and fungicides comply with European regulation BPR EU/528/2012, or Regulation on Biocidal Products.
ATC complies with the European Parliament's CLP regulation n°1272/2008 on the labeling and communication of chemical risks to end-users.
Committed to the environment
Because environmental issues are at the heart of the leather industry's concerns if it does not meet the challenges of reducing its impact on the environment today, ATC invests and innovates in numerous products and processes enabling tanners to achieve better environmental performance.
ATC integrates environmental and societal criteria right from the design stage of products to make them more environmentally friendly. This translates into new eco-designed, bio-based products and the development of Green tech processes to reduce the impact of the leather industry on the environment.
We are now ISO 14001:2015 certified, assuring all our partners of our commitment to respecting the environment. We are committed to making our contribution to sustainable development right from the product design stage through to end use.
Engaging with stakeholders
We are committed to working with partners who respect human rights as defined in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
In its business relations with numerous stakeholders, be they customers, suppliers or banking institutions, ATC is committed to respecting fundamental notions such as :
- free competition,
- confidentiality of commercial agreements,
- intellectual property
- applicable national trade and tax regulations.
More than simply respecting business law, ATC is committed to treating all business partners fairly.
We believe in convivial business relations, and that all our stakeholders contribute to making ATC an ever more successful company.
